Fifth-generation computers: 1997-Present
The fifth generation includes better and more modern computers. Also, there were the inventions of handheld devices- such as the iPhone and iPad. Not only that, Google have recently created Google Lens, which can allowed a people to see a website through their own eye. This generation was a huge step and had major differences compared to the other 4 generations. Some devices can used voice recognition to direct you to different places.
1. iPod
It was created in 2001 by Apple. It was the first handheld device. With the iPod, people could listen the music while walking around. This also started the family of iPods and iPhones.
2. MacBook Air
It was created in 2008 by Apple. It was used for practically anyone for anything. This was the Apple product that had the most purchases out of any other Mac product. The is also very light and easy to carry.
3. Microsoft Surface
It was created on 2012 by Microsoft. This product was very different from all the other products. It can be a computer and can snap in half- one that is the keyboard and the other is the computer screen. 1.5 million Microsoft Surfaces have been sold since the creation of it. They have also made newer Microsoft Surfaces since then.
Steve Jobs
He was born on February 24, 1955. He attended Reed College. With a few other people, he co-founded the Apple Company. He became their CEO and invented many of Apple products- including the iPod and the MacBook Pro. He died in October 5, 2011.
